The inevitable fall

Falling in love is like falling in the ditch. There is anticipation of how the ground would look like from the inner core, and then, there are broken bones and shattered spirits from the falling and hitting hard. The realisation of the fact that you’ve succumbed to all the miseries for a sight so barren, a sight unknown, sends shudders down the spine.

Love is no different, the falling is fast and amusing. Perhaps, it’s an unconscious effort, but before you consciously realise what you’re rooting for, you’ve already hit the rock bottom of this ditch called love.

Unlike having broken bones from falling hard, you now are a house to vulnerabilities and a broken heart. A heart that restlessly hopes against hope.

The irony is, there is no falling out of love even if the love disappears. There is no end to the agony of experiencing void within the self amidst a room full. Relationships fail, marriages end, friendships fade, but the heart, it never stops yearning for the ones you’ve lost.

Maybe, this is the nature of love,

First, it makes you brave and fearless and then reduces you to the state of hopelessness and an inevitable heartache.
